Jotunheim Seen From Above

Jotunheim Seen From Above by Lasse Tur is an amazing aerial photo series book of Norways most spectacular mountain range Jotunheimen

Jotunheimen National Park is the highest mountain range in Norway with Galdhøpiggen (8,100 ft) as the highest peak in Norway. Jotunheimen stretches the borders between the counties of Oppland to the north and Sogn og Fjordane to the south.

Jotunheimen is a place of many Viking myths and legends about the Norse gods. Jotunheimen, meaning “Home of the giants”, was name by inspiration of the Norse myth “Jotunheimr”. Viking myths and legends from viking sagas decribe Jotunheimr as home of Norse giants “Jotunns” that fought against the humans in Midgard and Odins kingdom of gods in Asgard

As Odin’s two ravens gave him a birds eye view of Jotunheimr from above, Lasse Tur’s book offers spectacular birds eye view images of Jotunheimen Seen from Above.
